Conga line is doing great! However... is it slowing down?

The Gratis conga line is the most popular conga in this site (especially for the iPods)! You all are doing a remarkable job. With this in mind though, many of my friends are quite reluctant to join now because of the LONG line of users waiting to get to the top. If someone were to join the iPod conga in its current state (30+ users) it could well take 4 - 5 months in the least before they would reach the top. I think some are realizing this and thus limiting the number of users joining.
Any suggestions about it? What do you think of dividing the conga in half (wherein there are two congas for the same offer)? |

| Well, theoretically speaking - it'd stil take the same amount of time to complete either way (since there are the same number of people) |

I've had the same thought: I don't want to join this conga because it's X many people deep, and I'll be in it for a long time. But then I think, I wouldn't want anyone *else* to think that about the conga *I'm* already in--or it won't move!--so I try get into the long conga anyway. I'd want them to do it for me. (Hopefully, the good karma will come in handy.)
You can tell your friends:
It's the only way the congas will work. You may find a shorter conga on another website--and I guarantee you it won't be as smoothly run, and the support staff won't be nearly as friendly--but that conga isn't going to move by itself either. You're going to need people who are willing to wait on YOU.
You can still work on completing referrals on your own while you're in the conga. But you may as join the conga to save yourself a spot incase you can't get that last referall you need. And you'll be helping out everybody here by making your own offer completion count for the group.

Thanks, we really do try hard to keep up on the large amount of support questions we get on a daily basis. It makes me happy that our work isn't going unnoticed. |

Yes, thanks for everything you're doing, Clover. Like we said, the conga is doing well with you all on the team.
Hmm, I well see your point, Matta; So even if we think it's going to be a long wait to join a "long" conga, it's the principle of joining and keeping the conga moving, wheather or not we think it'll take a long time to get to the top.
Unfortunately though, some don't look at it that way. Take the Gratis PC conga for example. Newcomers upons seeing the 10 required referals and seeing the long line would not think twice about joining. So what ways can we encourage users to join? I dare say, my friends are quite firm in their stand on not joining because of the long line. |

| The way I see it - it will never hurt you to join a conga. |
